Buying a bed can definitely be termed as an investment, and although you may call it just another furniture. The only difference between a small double bed and a regular double bed is the size of course. The width of a small double bed is normally smaller than the regular double bed, it is 4 ft in width. However if you are wondering about the comfort that you get from it, then there is no doubt that the small double bed will comfort you exactly the same comfort as a double bed. So why would you want to choose a small double bed over a normal double bed? The only reason for you to do so is the lack of space, and if you are looking to compromise a bit of width but not on comfort. Most importantly if you still have to share your bed with your spouse without any compromise on space as well.
Even if the small double bed is a bit smaller in width than the normal double bed you will still find then is several styles and they are also made of different materials that are quiet appealing. You can choose from the different materials like wood, metal, leather or even a combination of them. You can even choose the color that will go well with your décor. If you are looking for storage space then you can also choose a small double bed that has some. Basically there are no limitations at all when it comes to a small double bed; the only difference is a bit on its width. However it is an excellent choice for those who are cramped up for space in their bedrooms, but would still like to own a double bed that is comfortable and luxuriant enough.
When choosing a small double sized bed make sure if you really need it. Understand your requirement, if you are the type of person who would fit into a small double bed or would you want to stick to a normal double bed. However it is the best option if your bedroom is not big enough to get in a king size, queen sized or for that matter even a regular double sized bed.
